Home lifts: compete on price or give customers a reason to choose?
This platform does not exist. But rethinking the ones that do is our work.
The image is a deliberately visionary concept: an invitation to look beyond familiar solutions. The issue we want to address, however, is practical.
When sales slow down and competitors push prices lower, further price cuts can erode margins without solving the problem.
The approach we believe in is to stand out through innovation while also working on the cost of the finished product.
At LF Drawings, we have applied this approach to each of our innovative home lift projects: rethinking the mechanics to offer customers recognisable value and make the product simpler to manufacture, assemble and industrialise.
Cost reduction starts with design: component count, machining operations, materials, assembly time and ease of maintenance. Every choice contributes to the result, keeping safety, reliability and performance at the centre.
New solutions can also come from other industries.
A perspective on mechanics developed across different industrial sectors helps identify techniques, materials and solutions whose potential applications in home lifts may still be underexplored.
Combining this experience with the expertise of those who know the sector deeply makes it possible to question established solutions and assess alternatives with fresh eyes.
The image imagines an impossible future. Our practical contribution is to identify achievable innovations and turn them into a distinctive product, with attention to its manufacturing and costs.
Are you considering a new home lift or the evolution of an existing product? Let’s talk.
